If you have purchased a new vehicle less than eighteen months ago (or 18,000 miles) and you’re having significant problems with it, you may be entitled to compensation under the Indiana Lemon Law. The compensation can include a replacement vehicle or a refund of the purchase price.

If you believe that your vehicle may be a lemon, it is important to report the defect to an authorized dealer within eighteen months after delivery. You should also document all repairs and service department visits.

Generally, if there have been four or more unsuccessful repair attempts or the vehicle has been out of service for at least thirty days, the vehicle is a lemon and the owner will be entitled to compensation.

If it is necessary to sue the vehicle manufacturer you may be entitled to have your attorney fees paid in addition to the refund or replacement.

At the Griner Law Office, we have helped many consumers get compensation under the Indiana Lemon Laws. If you have a defective vehicle, please call us for a free initial consultation.
